New premises or not …..
I am in a dilemma this week as I have just been offered the chance to get some business premises at basically no cost – that’s right No cost. None at all not even costs to get there! Sounds great right? But here’s the thing, it’s 75 miles away from where I live making a 150 mile round trip every day (3 hours worth without factoring in the unpredictable weather and motorway in the middle). On top of that if I am going to work there then it’s an all or nothing thing – I have to take all of my kit, my computer, paperwork etc so I would be committed to being there at least 4 days a week so will be doing at least 600 miles a week. So, that’s the travel.
The office itself would make a great place to meet with clients, do back office stuff and present my portfolio and products but doesn’t lend itself to being any kind of studio so the time I could spend behind the camera there would be slightly limited.
This is turning into my pro’s and con’s list you know that don’t you….

Business address in city centre Place to ‘go to work’ rather than being at home so I can draw proper boundaries between homelife and worklife. It’s getting late and that’s all I can think of right now – I would love to know what you think – drop me a comment or two on here and/or answer my poll question. feel free to add any more Pro’s and Con’s that you can see. There are some other more personal factors influencing the decision as well but I figured I would keep this all business.
